TrackMan Combine
The TrackMan Combine is the gold-standard benchmark test for golfers wanting a complete evaluation of their ball-striking ability. It challenges players with 60 shots to specific distances ranging from wedges through driver, scoring each shot based on accuracy and proximity to target. The test highlights strengths and weaknesses in distance control, directional control, and pressure performance. Because every player receives a global percentile ranking, it becomes an excellent motivator and progress-tracking tool across weeks or months of training.
Shot Pattern Test
The Shot Pattern Test measures a player’s real dispersion—left/right and long/short—over a series of repeated shots with the same club. Rather than focusing on one or two “good” swings, this test exposes tendencies such as common miss-patterns, face-to-path inconsistencies, and strike variability. It gives coaches and players a clear picture of their true shot shape and reliability under normal swing conditions. This test is ideal for diagnosing accuracy issues and building a consistent, predictable ball flight.
Distance Control Test
The Distance Control Test evaluates how precisely a golfer can land shots at set yardages, typically in the short- and mid-iron range. Because distance control is one of the strongest predictors of scoring, this test instantly highlights whether a player struggles with swing length, speed regulation, or strike quality. Target windows reward precise carry distance, making it particularly effective for wedge development and improving approach shot proximity. It’s a simple test that produces powerful insights for golfers of all levels.
Target Practice Test
The Target Practice Test measures a player’s ability to hit a sequence of randomised targets at varying distances, forcing quick adjustments and real-time decision-making. Unlike repeat-distance testing, this format mirrors on-course demands where no two shots are the same. Players are scored on both accuracy and proximity, revealing how well they control trajectory, club selection, and speed under changing conditions. It’s an excellent test for developing adaptable ball striking and sharpening the mental processes that transfer directly onto the golf course.
